Chapter has held monthly meetings following Historian General's program. Our October meeting, a Show & Tell of Confederate memorabilia, was most enjoyable, with all members taking part. In addition to "Amnesty" the November program included the film "The River" a history of the Mississippi with members of other Chapters invited.
14 new members, 5 new members joined on a single ancestor, Edmond Riley Dillard of Tennessee.
5 supplemental lines were established.
All dues and assessments were paid by March 1, 1978. A donation was made to the Memorial Building in Richmond. Chapter has a Scholarship and donates to Division and District scholarships and also to Randolph Relief.
4 insignia were ordered and 6 members subscribe to the UDC Magazine.
A Christmas luncheon was held and in February the Real Daughters were honored at a luncheon, 3 of them attending, aged 90, 98 and 86. They were given old-fashioned bouquets.
The fund raising project will again be the sale of Confederate flag pins.
In April, the Chapter sponsored its annual Memorial Service for all area UDC and SCV groups.
Members assisted with the SCV Convention and the Confederate Ball in Houston honoring Gen. Robert E. Lee's Birthday.
Our Spring Outing was a bus tour to historic Chappell Hill, Texas.
All members have been contacted for each meeting and cards were sent for birthdays and other occasions.
