Purchased 2 President pins, 1 UDC Insignia, 1 ancestral bar and 3 ribbons. U.S. Savings Bond given as Essay prize to a Houston Junior High School student. Chapter members attended the 100th Birthday Celebration of our member, a Confederate widow, Mrs. John Peter Hartman (nee: Achsah Talulah Grubbs, b. 20 Apr 1875 - d. 1 Jan 1976), and presented her with a gift. Had TV coverage of this event and newspaper article printed.

On 26 July 1994 our insignia (logo) was also approved by the Patent Trademark Office of the United States. Therefore they are not to be used without permission and when displayed must have the copyright symbol. As stated in the 1997 UDC Bylaws on page 41, Article 34 Insignia Section 2, a & b.
