Nine historical meetings held following Historian General's program.
Confederate Memorial Day observed with a beautiful program at First Methodist Church Chapel - the four Houston Chapters and the Dick Dowling SCV taking part. A wreath was placed at the Statue of the Spirit of the Confederacy in Sam Houston Park, 80 people attended this memorial service.
Several talks were made and appearances on TV were six times in all.
One interesting article was written by the President and given at the February meeting.
Publicity has been limited here due to the two local papers failing to publish it. Our president is Division news chairman and we have had many articles in the UDC magazine.
No graves marked or flags given, but took part in dedication of several markers for Historical Survey Committee.
Articles written and printed, two essays and a pamphlet written by President/
one Ancestral bar purchased.
Prizes given schools for essays written. Confederate widow, age 96, visited and presented with gifts. Real Daughters given testimonial dinner and presented with gifts.
Renewal of magazines 20. There are 6 new members, 1 reinstatement, 1 transfer, 1 paper being processed.
No scrapbook but yearbook.
President representing chapter in four historical programs. District meeting attended by two. Four attended Division meeting in Dallas.

On 26 July 1994 our insignia (logo) was also approved by the Patent Trademark Office of the United States. Therefore they are not to be used without permission and when displayed must have the copyright symbol. As stated in the 1997 UDC Bylaws on page 41, Article 34 Insignia Section 2, a & b.
