All Convention pledges paid; $1 books and 217 magazines and 57 quilts sent to Veterans' Hospital; many more quilts in making; 2 benefits held - card party and book review; 272 kit bags for Red Cross; 1,230 hours work to Red Cross; war bonds purchased by members, $3,500; to Red Cross donation, $47.30; $42.50 materials for quilts for Red Cross; Cancer Research, $25; Loving Cup and book to student with best essay on Southern Literature; $50 scholarship to student in University of Houston; car full of clothing to Old Folks Home; gave flowers, cards and gifts to sick members; book bank, $28; 199 magazines to USO; meetings held- 10; 1 WAC in service; large amount clothing given to national clothing drive; 2 wool comforts to needy family; numerous amounts paper, grease and hose to war effort; assisted in every civic, health and war activity; disbursements, $237.08.

On 26 July 1994 our insignia (logo) was also approved by the Patent Trademark Office of the United States. Therefore they are not to be used without permission and when displayed must have the copyright symbol. As stated in the 1997 UDC Bylaws on page 41, Article 34 Insignia Section 2, a & b.
