Members at last report, 67; deceased members, 2; honorary members, 28; present membership, 64; per capita tax paid state division, $19.50; per capita tax paid general U.D.C., $13; Assistant Custodian Tax, $9.75; Texas museum tax, $1; Texas room tax $1; total contributions to all funds, $269.83.
Chapter held 10 business meetings and five historical meetings during the past year. A Christmas party in honor of the Veterans in the nature of a tea was held at the home of Mrs. J. W. Wilkinson. A card party was held on Feb. 7th and a Valentine party on Feb. 13th. A barbecue was given at the Chick Webb Ranch on May 7th. These were for the benefit of the Chapter. One of the outstanding events was the Memorial service held in April.
The Chapter presented 14 Confederate flags to all the Junior High Schools in Houston and a picture of Robert E. Lee to James Hogg School, which appropriate ceremonies. These were projects of Mrs. T. B. Herbert, our former Historian and 3rd Vice President of Texas Division.
Our President, Mrs. F. C. Nolen, in behalf of the Chapter, offered a silver loving cup in memory of her father, William A. Allen, to the school in Houston whose representative writes the best essay on outstanding Southern characters. The contest to be an annual event. The Cup to be passed to the school of which its contestant is winner of the contest.
The members of the Chapter worked diligently to help entertain the Veterans and guests during the Reunion held in Houston, Nov. 8-9, Mrs. B. B. Knolle serving as Chairman.
The Chapter disbursements during the year amounted to $269.83, including our per capita tax and the following special donations: Cornelia Branch Stone Memorial. $5; Cornelia Branch Stone Scholarship, $5; UDC Convention fund, $50; Camp Chase Memorial, $1; Stratford Home, $10; Val Verde, $13; Randolph Relief Fund, $5. The Chapter also assisted in paying the hospital expenses of the late Mr. S. O. Moody, Commander of Dick Dowling Camp, U.C.V.
We secured 10 more government markers for the graves of Confederate Soldiers.
For 17 years we have given our Veterans a dinner once a month, our Mother Davis being the instigator and General Chairman of these dinners. The three Houston Chapters jointly serve cake and punch to our Veterans at their regular monthly meetings.

On 26 July 1994 our insignia (logo) was also approved by the Patent Trademark Office of the United States. Therefore they are not to be used without permission and when displayed must have the copyright symbol. As stated in the 1997 UDC Bylaws on page 41, Article 34 Insignia Section 2, a & b.
