Reports another profitable year. All financial pledges have been met. Amounts contributed to various memorials, viz.: Arlington Monument fund, $10; Dick Dowling Monument fund, $10; Shiloh Monument fund, $5; Cunningham Monument fund, $5; Educational fund, $10; state debt, $10; Texas Room, $1; Mrs. E. K. Trader (the Florence Nightingale of the South), $1; Victoria fund for confederate Women's Home at Austin, $2; gift for Mrs. Burton, State Treasurer, $2.

Local work undertaken by Chapter: Completion of a monument for Terry's Texas Rangers. General Chairman, Mrs. K. M. Hansen. The chapter donated $50.

We have held twelve regular business meetings and a few called meetings. We have taken great pleasure in following as closely as possible each month the splendid programs arranged by our state Historian. We commemorated the birthdays of General Lee and Jackson, President Davis, Judge John H. Reagan and Mrs. C. M. Goodlett. Reagan's Day was observed at the Dick Dowling Camp room, with a splendid program on which occasion a beautiful flag, given by Mrs. W. P. Baugh of San Antonio, was presented to the camp by Mrs. M. A. Zumwalt. Seven Crosses of Honor were bestowed. One veteran, who had lost his cross, was supplied with another.

In every way possible we have aided in the comfort and entertainment of the veterans. The Daughters frequently met with them and gave programs of music, readings and reminiscences of war time.

The Chapter, with Mrs. Knolle as chairman, raised on Flag Day $660 to defray the expenses of Dick Dowling Camp, U.C.V., to the reunion at Richmond, Va.

April 26 a beautiful memorial service was held, after which the graves of our dead heroes were decorated with Confederate flags and laurel wreaths were placed on three Confederate monuments. We have sent laurel wreaths and attended the burial of all veterans.

A Christmas box was sent to the Confederate Woman's Home at Austin.

In the Texas Woman's Fair parade we had an old-fashioned landau decorated with red and white flowers, driven by a typical negro coachman of that period, with women outriders dressed in Confederate gray. Seated inside the vehicle were four ladies dressed to represent the belles of the early 1860s. A handsome silk flag was carried.

Have increased our membership 5, transferred 2, dropped by request 3, dead 1.
