Chapter Report [p. 116-117]

We have celebrated all anniversaries except Texas Heroes Day and have observed Decoration Day. We did honor to Governor Roberts on his birthday by having a splendid program, both musical and literary. On Judge Reagan's birthday the beautiful flowers used by our President in decorating her home were afterwards sent to Mrs. Reagan as a tribute of love. We have also sent wreaths for every veteran who has died and have written resolutions on their deaths. A voluntary contribution of $5 was taken up on President Davis' birthday and sent to the Woman's Home. Endeavoring to raise funds for this home, our Chapter has given numerous affairs, but unfortunately have realized nothing - each time barely clearing expenses, however, we do not intend to give up but to keep on trying until every obligation we have made has been paid.
