by Evangelist G. T. Alexander

The Holy Temple of Jesus Christ Church Penecostal (sic), Inc. is the ninth church in this district. It was organized in December 1972 by the Holy Spirit working in the heart of Evangelist G. T. Alexander of Rockdale, Texas at 111 Plum Street.

Evangelsit (sic) G. T. Alexander was called to Houston, Texas to hear Pastor Anita Manuel. She then got in touch with Sister Della M. Gray at Caldwell, Texas, who helped with a revival. Others who worked in the revival were Rev. Marion Washington, Bro. John Miller, Bro. Emit Wilson, Sis. Helen Green and Bro. Clarence Smith.

The building was provided by Evangelist G. T. Alexander. It was purchased from Mrs. Esther Phillips for $100, and moved to the present location by Evangelist Alexander.

Members of the church are: Lucille Miller, Elmo Miller, Lida Miller, Sandra De Miller and Linda G. Miller.

We must say a special thank you to Nancy Pace of Lloyd, FL, for re-typing the above church history for use on the Milam County TXGenWeb site.
