At our March meeting, Gracile Jones Remaley spoke about the kinds of genealogical information available from the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home dating from Jan. 1, 1936. She has not been able to find the records of Heney & Myer, the predecessor company. She has alphabetized and indexed the surnames in the book, 150 Years of Milam County Cemetery Records.

Beginning with the March meeting, we are mailing copies of the newsletter to absent members. Beginning in April, our meetings will change to the FIRST Thursday of each month.

Correction to March Newsletter: Teresa Voelkel has several volumes of LaVaca County Cemetery Records that she is willing to bring on meeting nights for members to use.

In the basket:

Card and listing of publications for Tise Genealogical Research, Rt. 1, Box 110-AA, Halletsville, Texas 77964.

Profits from this venture will be used to finance a large expansion of the genealogical section and genealogical services of the Dallas Public Library.
