QUERY: Bobby DUFFY, Rt. 1, Box 17A, Bay City, Texas 77414, dated Feb. 12, 1994 sent a lengthy inquiry concerning ancestors from San Gabriel, Rockdale, Thorndale areas with the surnames: McKINNON, McLENNAN, FOKES, FULCHER, LOCKLIN, MERCER, COX, CAST, PURVIS, DUFFY.

QUERY: Gale Eleanor CLEMENTS Savage - regarding relatives who married in Falls Co., TX in 1910. According to the Handybook for Genealogists, Falls Co. was created in 1850 so the query is misdirected.

QUERY: Virginia DENNING, P. O. Box 647, Brackenridge, Texas 76427 - Seeking information regarding the birthplaces and parents’ names of William Frank JONES and his wife, Virginia McCULLOUGH who came to Milam Co. He was born in Tennessee in 1870, died in 1915 and was buried in Prospect Cemetery. She was born in Tennessee. They had a daughter Martha Ann Jane JONES who married Labrad Clayton FAILAS (sp?).

Our January speaker Mary Cooper recommended several publications as research aids. Some she recommended for individual purchase. One of them was Managing a Genealogical Project by William Dollarhide available from Genealogical Publishing Co., 1001 N. Calvert, Baltimore, MD 21202 for $14.95 and the other was the Handybook for Genealogists from Everton Publishing.
