Those of us who attended the DAR workshop learned a great deal of specific information. For those who missed, I would like to pass along a bit of information that may be helpful. The lecturer informed us that the 1890 Ellis County, Texas census survived and that it shows relationships. Also, the DAR has a Lineage Research kit that may be ordered for $6.00. The address is 1776 D St., NW, Washington, DC 20006.

In the September/October Everton's Genealogical Helper on page 101 there is an inquiry by Flora M. Schmidt of 1330 W. Winnipeg, San Antonio, 78225 seeking information on Thomas J. Scott, born May 1891 in Rockdale. His parents were Jeff and Mary Scott. He entered the infantry in September 1917 in Houston and was discharged from Camp Travis, Texas in June of 1919. Do any of our members know anything about the Scott family?

What's new at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library?
